Marketing Strategy

Quarterly marketing strategy and channel planning that defines target audience, allocates budget, and creates a roadmap your team can execute with confidence.

What is it?

What is Marketing Strategy?

Most brands spend money on marketing without a strategy. They run Facebook Ads because everyone else does. They dabble in TikTok because it is trendy. They do not measure ROI. They bounce between channels. They wonder why marketing is not working. Strategic marketing is different. It starts with understanding your customer: who they are, how they discover products, where they spend time, and what message resonates. From there, you choose channels that match your audience. You allocate budget based on expected ROAS. You measure everything. You iterate. ScaleWise VA builds marketing strategies that are specific to your product, your audience, and your budget. We tell you exactly where to spend money, why, and what to expect.

Why it matters

Why this matters for your store.

Strategy is about clarity. Clarity about who your customer is. Clarity about where they are. Clarity about what message will resonate. Clarity about budget allocation. Brands with a clear strategy make better decisions, waste less money, and grow faster. They can tell their team exactly what to do. They can scale without confusion. We have seen brands that were spending £50k/month on marketing with no clear strategy. By building a strategy and redirecting spend to high-ROAS channels, the same £50k generated 2x the revenue. Strategy is not a luxury, it is the foundation of efficient growth.

Questions

Common questions.

Who is marketing strategy for? When do I need it?
Brands at $500k+ in annual revenue spending more than $5,000 per month on marketing without a written plan. If you cannot answer "what is my customer acquisition cost target and why?" in one sentence, you need strategy work before more execution work.
How is this different from a marketing audit?
An audit tells you what is broken. A strategy tells you what to do next. We start with a light audit, but the deliverable is a forward-looking 90-day roadmap with channel selection, budget allocation, and success metrics, not just a list of issues.
Will you execute the strategy or just write it?
Either. The strategy engagement is project-priced and standalone. If you want execution support after, we move into a monthly retainer that activates the relevant service lines (paid media, email, CRO, etc.). No obligation to use us for execution.
How long does the strategy engagement take?
Standard delivery is 3 to 4 weeks. Week one is research and customer interviews. Week two is competitive analysis and positioning. Weeks three and four are channel selection, budget modeling, and roadmap write-up. You get a written deliverable plus a 90-minute presentation session.
Do you do customer interviews as part of the research?
Yes. We typically interview 5 to 8 of your existing customers (paid or unpaid, your choice) and 3 to 5 lost-deal prospects. Interview themes and verbatim quotes inform positioning. We provide the question script and run the interviews.
What does a marketing strategy engagement cost?
Project-priced after the discovery call based on your scope. Most engagements land in a defined range that we share in writing before kickoff. We never bill hourly for strategy work; you get a flat fee for the deliverable.
