1. Who We Are

ScaleWise VA is run by ScaleWiseVA LLC, a company registered in Wyoming, USA, with its team based in Islamabad, Pakistan. ScaleWiseVA LLC is responsible for the personal data described here (the "controller", in GDPR terms). This policy covers scalewiseva.com, ScaleWise VA Academy at academy.scalewiseva.com, built.scalewiseva.com, alwaztahir.com (the founder's own site, which collects nothing beyond Cloudflare's cookieless page counts), and the services we provide to clients.

If your company uses Tarly, the data inside your Tarly workspace belongs to your organisation. Ask us and we will explain how it is handled.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Give Us

• Contact form: your name, email, store address, a rough revenue range, the service you are asking about and your message.
• Booking a call: your name, email, store address (optional), your message (optional) and your time zone, so the times shown to you are right.
• The checklist, the newsletter and "notify me" forms: your email, and your name where the form asks for it.
• Academy: your email, to send you a sign-in link, and which lessons you have finished.
• If you become a client: the details of your store and business we need to do the work, and your billing details.

Information Collected Automatically

• Your IP address and the country it points to. Our host, Cloudflare, sees it with every request, uses it to protect the site and keeps short-lived logs.
• Browser, device and the pages you visit, counted by Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies.
• Google Analytics measures pages visited, how you arrived and how you move through the site. In the UK, the EU, the rest of the EEA and Switzerland it only runs if you accept it. See our Cookie Policy.

3. How We Use Your Information, and Why We Are Allowed To

• Replying to you and running a call you booked. We need your details to do what you asked (steps before a contract, or the contract itself).
• Doing client work. Needed to deliver the service you pay for (contract).
• Emails you signed up for, such as the checklist, the newsletter or a "tell me when this changes" note. Only because you asked (consent). Every one has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect straight away.
• Google Analytics, where your consent is required, only with it. Elsewhere, because understanding which pages help people is a legitimate interest of ours.
• Keeping the site safe, including the bot check on the contact and booking forms (legitimate interest).
• Legal and accounting records we are required to keep (legal obligation).

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Cookies

We set two essential cookies. Google Analytics sets its own, only after you accept where consent is required. There are no advertising cookies. The full list, and a button to change your answer, are in our Cookie Policy.

5. Who We Share It With

These services handle personal data for us, only to do the job described:

• Cloudflare: hosts the site, stores form submissions and bookings in its database, runs the bot check and cookieless analytics. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
• Stripe: takes payment for paid Academy courses. We never see or store your card number. Stripe Privacy Policy
• Resend: sends the emails the site sends, such as booking confirmations and the checklist. Resend Privacy Policy
• Slack: our team is told about new enquiries in our own Slack workspace. Slack Privacy Policy
• Google: Google Analytics, as described above. Google Privacy Policy
• Zoho Mail: hosts our hello@scalewiseva.com mailbox, where replies to you are written and kept. Zoho Privacy Policy

When we run your store as a client, we work inside the tools you already use and give us access to, such as Shopify, Klaviyo and Pinterest. Their own policies apply to the data they hold.

6. Where Your Data Is Processed

Our providers store data in the United States and elsewhere, and our team reads it from Pakistan. When personal data from the UK or the EU is handled outside those places, we rely on the safeguards our providers offer, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, and we give our team access only to what their work needs.

7. How Long We Keep It

We keep your data only as long as we need it for the reasons above. Newsletter and "notify me" addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Enquiries and bookings are kept while they are useful for following up. Where you are a client, we keep operational data for the length of our engagement and up to 3 years after, unless the law requires longer. Ask us to delete your data at any time, and we will, except for anything we are legally required to keep.

8. Your Rights

In the UK, the EU and the EEA (GDPR and UK GDPR)

• Access: ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: ask us to fix anything wrong or incomplete
• Deletion: ask us to delete your personal data
• Restriction: ask us to limit how we use it
• Portability: receive it in a structured, machine-readable format
• Objection: object to our use of it, including for any marketing
• Withdrawing consent: where we rely on your consent, you can take it back at any time, as easily as you gave it

Email hello@scalewiseva.com to use any of these. We reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your data protection authority: in the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), and in the EU the authority in your country.

In California (CCPA)

You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to ask us to delete it, and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. To use these rights, email hello@scalewiseva.com.

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against accidental loss, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will indicate the effective date at the top of the policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
