Build

Custom Store Project

A bespoke Shopify store built from scratch, brand-aligned, conversion-engineered, and built to scale with a fully documented handover at the end.

What is it?

What is Custom Store Project?

A Custom Store Project is a complete Shopify build: from the initial brand discovery session through UX design, Liquid development, mobile optimization, and final QA. Every store we build starts with understanding your brand deeply, your products, your customers, your conversion goals, and the experience you want to create. We do not apply a template and call it custom. We design a storefront that is architecturally suited to your category and brand positioning, built in Liquid for performance and maintainability, and handed over with full documentation so your team can operate it confidently.

What's included.

Everything in this service

Brand Discovery Workshop

A structured session covering your brand identity, target customer, competitive landscape, product range, and conversion priorities, forming the strategic foundation for every design decision.

UX & Wireframing

Low and mid-fidelity wireframes for all key page types, homepage, collection, product, cart, and checkout, reviewed and approved before any design work begins.

Custom Theme Design

High-fidelity Figma designs for desktop and mobile, aligned with your brand guidelines. Typography, spacing, color, and component design built for conversion as well as aesthetic.

Liquid Development

Your approved designs built into a clean, well-structured Shopify theme using Liquid, JavaScript, and CSS. Sections, blocks, and settings configured for non-technical editing by your team.

Mobile Optimization

Every component built mobile-first and tested across device sizes, browsers, and operating systems. Mobile performance is not an afterthought, it is a primary design constraint.

QA & Handover

Full pre-launch QA covering functionality, cross-browser compatibility, page speed, and accessibility. Handover includes video walkthroughs, admin documentation, and a one-hour live handover call.

Why it matters

Why this matters for your store.

Off-the-shelf themes are built to suit everyone and optimize for no one. They make compromises your brand should not have to make, in navigation, in product presentation, in checkout architecture, in mobile experience. A custom store built with your conversion goals in mind from the outset will consistently outperform a modified theme, because every decision was made with your customers in mind rather than a generic buyer persona. It is also a long-term investment: a well-built Shopify store requires minimal maintenance, scales cleanly with your catalog growth, and reflects your brand credibility at every touchpoint.

Questions

Common questions.

How is a custom Shopify store different from a premium theme?
A premium theme is a template with settings. A custom store is a theme built around your brand, your products, and your conversion logic. Different code, different sections, different performance ceiling. The right call depends on how distinctive your brand needs to feel and how unusual your product taxonomy is.
How long does a custom Shopify build take?
Typical timeline is 8 to 16 weeks from kickoff to launch. Discovery and design takes 3 to 4 weeks, development 4 to 8 weeks, QA and launch 1 to 2 weeks. Brands with more SKUs or unusual purchase flows trend toward the longer end.
What does a custom Shopify build typically cost?
Project pricing is quoted after the discovery call. The variables are catalog complexity, custom feature count, design depth, and whether you need a content migration. We share a fixed quote in writing before any work begins.
Do you migrate content and SEO from my existing store?
Yes. Migrations include product data, customer records, order history, redirects from old URLs to new ones, meta tags, and structured-data preservation. Done correctly, organic rankings are protected through the cutover.
Will the store be easy for my team to update after launch?
Yes. Every section is built as an Online Store 2.0 block with schema settings, so marketing can rearrange pages, swap images, and update copy without a developer. Anything that requires code lives in a 30-day post-launch support window.
What is included in post-launch support?
30 days of bug fixes, minor adjustments, and team training included with every build. After that, most clients move to a small monthly development retainer for ongoing improvements and theme updates.
