Brand Guide

A comprehensive brand guide that ensures consistent visual and verbal identity across every customer touchpoint, from your website to social media to packaging.

What is it?

What is Brand Guide?

A brand guide is the single source of truth for how your brand looks, sounds, and feels. It is not optional, it is foundational. Without a brand guide, your team, contractors, and partners make inconsistent decisions. Your logo appears wrong. Your email headers do not match your website. Your social media looks misaligned. Your brand weakens. A comprehensive brand guide covers every aspect of visual and verbal identity: logo usage and spacing rules, typography hierarchy, color palette and codes, photography style, imagery guidelines, tone of voice, brand values, and real-world application examples. ScaleWise VA creates brand guides that are actually used: clear, practical, and tied to your Shopify store and marketing channels.

Why it matters

Why this matters for your store.

A strong brand is coherent. It is consistent. When customers see your brand, they immediately recognize it. When your team creates new content, they do it on brand. When you hand work to contractors, they do it right the first time. That consistency builds trust and recognition, which directly impacts conversion and retention. Shopify brands that invest in a real brand guide stand out. They feel professional. Their emails match their website. Their Instagram looks intentional. Their packaging reflects the experience. We have seen brands increase conversion rates by 10-15% simply by making their visual presentation more consistent and professional.

Our Approach

How we do it.

01

Brand Discovery & Audit

We interview you about your brand values, target audience, and competitive differentiation. We audit your current visual identity across your website, emails, and social media.

02

Visual System Design

Logo treatment, color palette, typography system, and photography style defined and documented. We create visual mockups showing how these elements work together across touchpoints.

03

Guide Documentation

Everything compiled into a clear, practical brand guide document. Specifications for designers and developers. Visual examples showing correct and incorrect usage. Application guidelines for your team.

04

Implementation & Launch

We share the finalized brand guide with your team and contractors. Optional: we assist in applying the guide to your website, email templates, and social media assets.

Questions

Common questions.

Do I really need a brand guide if my brand is small?
If anyone other than you creates content (designers, contractors, VAs, agencies), yes. The brand guide pays for itself the first time it prevents a bad logo placement or off-brand color choice. Most brands feel this pain at $500k+ in revenue when the founder can no longer review every asset.
How long does it take to produce a brand guide?
Standard delivery is 3 to 5 weeks. Week one is discovery and brand workshop. Weeks two to three are visual system design and iteration. Weeks four to five are documentation, examples, and presentation. Larger brands or those needing a rebrand take longer.
What if I do not have a logo yet?
A brand guide engagement can include logo design (we partner with brand designers), or you can provide the logo and we build the rest of the system around it. Logo-only work is also available as a smaller project.
What format is the deliverable?
A PDF brand guide (40 to 60 pages typically), plus a working Figma file with the components and a Shopify-ready asset pack (logos, social templates, email header images, favicon).
Will the brand guide work on Shopify specifically?
Yes. Every brand guide we produce includes Shopify-specific applications: theme color tokens, button styles, header treatments, product page layout principles, and email template references. Your theme can be tuned to the guide without reinventing it.
Can you apply the brand guide to my existing Shopify store after we are done?
Yes, that engagement is a Store Redesign or a smaller theme refresh. We will scope it after the brand guide is delivered. Many clients run them back-to-back; the brand guide informs the redesign brief.
